The Pristine Pines of Wexford is a Good Neighbor Community where staff and management adhere to the maxim that senior living residences can be places “Where neighbors become friends and friends become family.” Headquartered in Eugene, OR, Good Neighbor Care Centers, LLC employs a resident-centered approach to senior living, called “Caring the Good Neighbor Way.” This approach is designed to maintain the dignity and freedom of residents as they age and foster continued strong relationships and interaction between residents, their families, our caregivers and other residents. Our community offers 28 comfortable residential units located in an upscale area about 17 miles north of Pittsburgh. Our H-shaped building is built on two levels, one of which is a walk-out basement built into the hillside. The entrance is centrally located and the majority of the common rooms and administrative offices are located in that area. At the rear of the community, there is a small private courtyard for residents to enjoy. Named for a town in Ireland, Wexford isn’t really a town and has no local government. It is, however, a highly desirable upscale residential area encompassing parts of the Borough of Franklin Park, the Town of McCandless, Pine Township and Marshal Township. In 2005, Wexford placed 28th on Money magazine’s list of Best Places to Live. Home to many upper-middle-class citizens, Wexford is part of the North Allegheny School District, along with the Town of McCandless, Marshall Township and the Bradfordwoods Borough. Wexford’s North Allegheny Senior High School (NASH to local students) is considered one of the top high schools in Pennsylvania. Wexford’s business district consists mainly of car dealerships, corporate chains, big-box stores, movie theaters and malls. Most of the area’s social life centers around coffee shops and restaurants, according to Wikipedia.com. The Pristine Pines of Wexford offers a peaceful setting for senior residents who need some assistance with activities of daily living (ADL).
