History:
For nearly two decades, Good Neighbor Care has specialized in caring for seniors with a variety of special needs. Our long history gives us an advantage and some unique insights for assisting fully independent residents as well as those with specialized care requirements.

With the ability to care for nearly 3,000 seniors nationwide through a team of 1,700 full- and part-time employees, Good Neighbor Care offers a variety of residence options and services. Some are exclusive memory care communities while others offer multiple levels of care from estate-like, fully independent retirement apartments to nurturing assisted living communities.

In 1992, Wilkinson Corporation was formed to take advantage of opportunities in the real estate investment market. While developing the corporation's portfolio, it became clear that the senior housing market offered some interesting possibilities as long as a capable management team could be identified.

In October 2004, Wilkinson acquired Good Neighbor Care and turned over management of some of the company’s first senior housing acquisitions—four high-profile, award-winning memory care communities in Southern California called The Gardens.
