Terms and Conditions for Good Neighbor

Agreement to Terms

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the Good Neighbor mobile application ("App") available on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store. By downloading, accessing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use Good Neighbor. If you are between 13 and 18, you must have permission from a parent or legal guardian. By using the App, you represent that you meet these age requirements and have the authority to accept these Terms.

Account Registration

  • You must provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration
  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
  • You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account
  • You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account
  • We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms

Acceptable Use

You agree to use Good Neighbor only for lawful purposes. You will NOT:

  • Violate any local, state, national, or international law
  • Harass, threaten, intimidate, or harm others
  • Post false, misleading, or fraudulent content
  • Impersonate any person or entity
  • Share personal information of others without consent
  • Distribute spam, advertisements, or unsolicited messages
  • Upload viruses, malware, or harmful code
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the App or related systems
  • Use automated systems (bots, scrapers) without permission
  • Engage in hate speech, discrimination, or offensive content
  • Post sexually explicit or inappropriate content
  • Violate intellectual property rights
  • Interfere with the proper functioning of the App

User Content

Your Content

  • You retain ownership of content you post to the App
  • By posting content, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, modify, display, and distribute your content in connection with operating the App
  • You represent that you have all necessary rights to post your content
  • You are solely responsible for your content and any consequences of posting it

Prohibited Content

You may not post content that:

  • Is illegal, harmful, or violates rights of others
  • Contains hate speech, threats, or harassment
  • Is sexually explicit or exploits minors
  • Infringes intellectual property rights
  • Contains private information of others
  • Is spam or commercial solicitation
  • Promotes dangerous or illegal activities

Content Moderation

  • We reserve the right to remove any content that violates these Terms
  • We may, but are not obligated to, monitor or review user content
  • Removal of content does not waive our right to take further action
  • We are not responsible for user-generated content

Intellectual Property

Our Rights

The App, including its design, features, text, graphics, logos, and software, is owned by Good Neighbor and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not:

  • Copy, modify, or create derivative works of the App
  • Reverse engineer or attempt to extract source code
  • Remove copyright or proprietary notices
  • Use our trademarks without written permission

License to Use

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes in accordance with these Terms.

Community Guidelines

Good Neighbor is designed to build positive neighborhood communities. We expect users to:

  • Be respectful and courteous to others
  • Communicate honestly and authentically
  • Resolve disputes constructively
  • Respect privacy and boundaries
  • Report violations of these Terms
  • Follow local community standards

Privacy

Your use of the App is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. Please review our Privacy Policy to understand how we collect and use your information.

Fees and Payments

  • Good Neighbor may offer free and paid features
  • Fees for paid features will be clearly disclosed before purchase
  • All fees are non-refundable unless required by law
  • We reserve the right to change pricing with notice
  • You authorize us to charge your payment method for applicable fees
  • Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled

Termination

By You

You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us or using in-app account deletion features.

By Us

We may suspend or terminate your account immediately if you:

  • Violate these Terms
  • Engage in fraudulent or illegal activity
  • Harm other users or the community
  • Create risk or legal liability for us

We may also terminate accounts or discontinue the App at any time for any reason with reasonable notice.

Effects of Termination

Upon termination:

  • Your right to use the App ceases immediately
  • We may delete your account and content
  • Sections of these Terms that should survive termination will remain in effect

Disclaimers

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose
  • Warranties that the App will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free
  • Warranties regarding accuracy or reliability of content

We do not guarantee:

  • The App will meet your requirements
  • All errors will be corrected
  • The App is free from viruses or harmful components
  • User-generated content is accurate or reliable

Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW:

  • WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, PUNITIVE, OR SPECIAL DAMAGES
  • OUR TOTAL LIABILITY WILL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE PAST 12 MONTHS, OR $100, WHICHEVER IS GREATER
  • WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR USER CONTENT OR CONDUCT OF OTHER USERS
  • WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR UNAUTHORIZED ACCESS TO YOUR DATA

Some jurisdictions do not allow limitation of liability, so these limitations may not apply to you.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Good Neighbor, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including legal fees) arising from:

  • Your use of the App
  • Your violation of these Terms
  • Your violation of rights of others
  • Your content posted to the App

Dispute Resolution

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of [Your State/Country], without regard to conflict of law provisions.

Arbitration Agreement

Any disputes arising from these Terms or the App will be resolved through binding arbitration rather than court, except:

  • Small claims court disputes
  • Intellectual property disputes
  • Claims seeking injunctive relief

The arbitration will be conducted by [Arbitration Organization] under its rules. You waive your right to a jury trial and to participate in class actions.

Exceptions

Either party may seek injunctive relief in court to protect intellectual property rights or prevent unauthorized use of the App.

General Provisions

Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Good Neighbor.

Modifications

We may modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes through the App or by email. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

Severability

If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect.

Waiver

Our failure to enforce any provision does not waive our right to enforce it later.

Assignment

You may not assign these Terms. We may assign our rights and obligations to any party.

Force Majeure

We are not liable for delays or failures due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

No Agency

Nothing in these Terms creates a partnership, joint venture, or agency relationship.

Third-Party Services

The App may integrate with third-party services (payment processors, analytics, etc.). Your use of these services is subject to their terms and policies. We are not responsible for third-party services.

Mobile Platform Terms

Apple App Store

If you download the App from the Apple App Store, you acknowledge that:

  • These Terms are between you and Good Neighbor, not Apple
  • Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support
  • Apple is not responsible for the App or content
  • Apple is a third-party beneficiary and may enforce these Terms
  • You comply with Apple's Media Services Terms

Google Play Store

If you download the App from Google Play, you agree to Google's Terms of Service and acknowledge that Google is not responsible for the App.
